2. Information we collect
- Contact details — name, phone number, email address, and where relevant a parent's or guardian's name.
- Student details — the student's name, age or date of birth, and any medical or physical information a parent chooses to share so we can teach safely.
- Event details — for choreography and event bookings: venue, date, performance requirements and billing information.
- Messages — the content of enquiries you send us, including WhatsApp messages.
- Photographs and video — images of classes, rehearsals and performances. See section 6.
We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this website.
3. How we use it
- To answer enquiries and schedule trial classes.
- To enrol students, manage batches and communicate schedule changes.
- To plan, rehearse and deliver choreography and event work.
- To issue invoices and keep the accounting records the law requires us to keep.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. WhatsApp messaging
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform to communicate with students, parents and event clients.
How you opt in
We message you on WhatsApp only after you have given us your number and asked to be contacted — by clicking a WhatsApp link on this site, messaging us first, or providing consent on an enrolment form.
What we send
- Replies to your enquiries.
- Class schedules, batch timings, rehearsal calls and venue details.
- Fee reminders and payment confirmations.
- Occasional announcements about recitals, workshops and events, where you have agreed to receive them.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message, or write to Upgradedstudio2842@gmail.com, and we will remove you from messaging. Blocking the number in WhatsApp also works immediately.
Messages sent over WhatsApp are also processed by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms under their own privacy policy, which you can read at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. We have no control over Meta's handling of your data.
5. Children's information
We teach students from four years of age. Where a student is under 18, we collect their information from a parent or legal guardian and correspond with that adult, not the child. A parent may at any time ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about their child by writing to us.
6. Photography and video
We photograph and film classes, rehearsals and performances. Images may be used on this website, on our social media, and in promotional material.
We do not publish identifiable images of a student under 18 without written consent from a parent or guardian. Consent is requested at enrolment, is entirely optional, and enrolment does not depend on granting it. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to Upgradedstudio2842@gmail.com, and we will remove the image from any channel we control within a reasonable period.
At public events — school annual days, competitions, weddings — photography by the host, other guests and press is outside our control.
7. Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- Event hosts and venues, where a performance requires it — for example a school sharing a participant list.
- Service providers who help us operate: our messaging platform, payment processor and accountant.
- Authorities, where the law requires disclosure.
8. How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for up to 12 months. Student and event records are kept for the duration of the relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards, or longer where tax and accounting law requires. Photographs are kept until consent is withdrawn or they are no longer used.
9. Security
We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to run the studio, and we keep records on password-protected devices and accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care.
10. Your rights
You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Write to Upgradedstudio2842@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
11. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
